Ohhhh, Canada!

Poor Canada. The softball team was leading the powerhouse U.S. team until the rains came and postponed the game until the following day. When the game resumed 24 hours later under sunny skies, the outlook for the Canadians became cloudly as the U.S. scored 8 unanswered runs to win 8-1. The baseball team was tied with the undefeated Cuban team on Thursday only to go on to lose by a single run. Today, the Canadian baseball team took an early 4-0 lead over a medicore U.S. team but spit the bit and lost 5-4. Canada's medal count to date? Zero. Not even a lowly bronze medal in a sport you've never heard of. Tajikistan and Togo have both won a medal. Perhaps the Canadians are keeping their power dry until Vancouver 2010 . . .
