Women's Gymnastics

The U.S. Women's Gymnastic Team at Podium Traning. This is the dress rehearsal for the real thing. It is the athelets' one and only time to train on equipement they will use during competition.
Floor exercise
Podium training is an opportunity for photographers to see the order of events. This is important so you know where to stand at what time to make the photo you want to make. We also size-up the backgrounds (steel railings bad, Olympic banners good) during this time. The photographers who do this homework are the ones most likely to make the best photos.
